Details of Scholarship: This scholarship is merit-based, so all qualified students apply for this, then you have to be very careful while applying.

Scholarship Program: H.H. the Emir of Qatar’s Scholarship for Academic Excellence

Targeted Category: Students of outstanding performance in the Qatari Secondary Education Certificate for Bachelor degree

Benefits:

• Exemption from tuition fees
• Exemption from textbook fees
• Monthly salary of 1,000 QR for 9 months per academic year

Requirements for application:

1. The Applicant must be holding a Qatari passport and Qatari Secondary Education Certificate.
2. A minimum average of 95% in the secondary school certificate.
3. This scholarship is only applicable for the Fall semester.
4. You must have received the finalized offer letter for your studies.
5. The applicant must be eligible to get admission into the desired university.

Targeted Category: Students enrolled at Qatar University for their bachelor’s degree

Benefits: Exemption from tuition fees.

Requirements for application:

1. The applicant must be enrolled at Qatar University when he/she is applying for this scholarship.
2. The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 out of 4.00 in his exams.
3. Must have completed at least 30 credit hours at Qatar University.
4. If the applicant is also relieving any other scholarship or any sponsorship, then he/she cannot get selected for this scholarship.

Conditions for Continuity of Scholarship:

1. The applicant has to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
2. The applicant has to complete a minimum number of 12 hours per semester.
3. One can not exceed the period for graduation according to his/her study plan.
4. The Applicant must be enrolled in Qatar University till he/she graduates.

5. GCC States Scholarships (Embassies)

This scholarship is especially for the highly qualified students of the Gulf Cooperation Council States, who have completed their high school and have received the final high school certificate too. Every student except Qatar can apply to pursue their undergraduate studies at Qatar University. Each Gulf Cooperation Council state gets several scholarships, so many deserving candidates would get a chance to study at Qatar University.

Scholarship Objective: Attracting eligible students from the Gulf Cooperation Council states to Qatar University.

GCC States Scholarships Details

The Scholarship Program: GCC States Scholarship

Targeted Category: Students from GSS states for Bachelor’s degree

Requirements for application:

1. Has a high school certificate or its equivalent.
2. The applicant must be eligible to get admission into their desired college.
3. The applicant must get nominated by the Qatar embassy in order to get sponsored by this scholarship.
4. The applicant must not already be having any other scholarship.

Conditions for Continuity of Scholarship:

1. Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
2. Complete successfully a minimum of 12 hours per semester.
3. One can not exceed the period for graduation according to his/her study plan.
4. Scholarship holders must remain registered continuously until graduation.

Required Documents

For this scholarship, you must first get nominated by the embassy and the university has to get the embassy letter, in which they address that you are eligible to receive the scholarship.

How to Apply

The embassy is required to communicate with Qatar University and send a letter of nomination for this scholarship.

For this scholarship, you don’t have to apply directly, your embassy has to get in touch with Qatar University, and they have to send your nomination letter to Qatar university.

Application and Evaluation Procedures:

1. First, the students have to get admission into the university before getting a scholarship so you have to apply via online admission application by the given time.
2. Students have to contact the embassy of their country, and then the embassy will check, whether the student is eligible or not, then your embassy will assure you with the nomination letter.

Qatar University is reviewing merit-based scholarship applications from international students to pursue their bachelor’s degrees there.

Scholarship Objective: Merit-based scholarship applications from international students to pursue their bachelor’s degrees in scientific research, technology and innovation, literature and art, media, and athleticism.

Details of the Scholarship 

Scholarship Program: Talent Scholarship

Targeted Category: Bachelor’s degree

Benefits:

• Exemption from tuition fees
• Exemption from textbook fees
• Monthly salary of 1,000 QR
• Except for medicine and dentistry, there is a guarantee that you will get admission into your desired field if you meet the minimum eligibility.
• For international talented students: Except for your basic needs, you will be provided a scholarship, which will include your tickets, housing, resident permit, fees, and all.
  

Requirements for application:

1. The applicant must have a minimum average of 80% in his/her high school.
2. To get admission, the applicant must meet the minimum eligibility criteria for the course.
3. Have to submit the final transcript of the 11th  grade
4. Have to submit the final transcript of the first semester of the 12th grade.
5. The students have to share at least 2 letters of recommendation.
6. The applicant has to attend a personal interview with the admission committee.
7. If the applicant has already been receiving any scholarship then you are not eligible to apply, even if you have already received this scholarship ever before, then still you ain’t eligible.

5. After getting admission, you have to spread and utilize your talent both locally and internationally.
6. You have to attend all of the classes and you have to complete the study within the given time, no more exceedings.
7. Moreover, the students have to keep on practicing and improvising the talent he/she has gotten.

Required Documents:

1. The applicant has to submit at least 2 letters of recommendation, in which her talent must be praised.
2. And, the applicant has also to submit a portfolio.

5. At first, your documents will be checked, then a few of them would be called for personal interviews in order to check his/her abilities, then the best would be short-listed and allowed to receive a scholarship.
6. After all formalities, the university will apply for your visa.

Scholarships Conditions of Continuity

General Conditions:

1. This scholarship is only open to fresh students, so therefore no transfer students are allowed to apply. Moreover, the applications are open for only the fall and spring semesters.
2. Maximum Duration Condition: Except for summer and winter semesters, the nominated student must attend the maximum classes of the terms.
3. The student must be enrolled at the university for both semesters (Fall and spring).
4. If once, you failed in maintaining the scholarship, then remember you won’t be able to receive it again.

If the student can’t fulfill the conditions and terms of the scholarship, then the fine would be paid only by the applicant.

Special Continuity Conditions

Foundation Program 

When the Undergraduate Student is registered in the Foundation Program:

1. In your foundation program, your enrolled time duration would not be counted.
2. The student must complete the foundation program.
3. These conditions and terms apply to the applicant:
   • Admission scholarship, talents scholarship, H.H. the Emir of Qatar’s scholarship for academic excellence, outstanding performance scholarship, and GCC states scholarship (embassies): Even if the students failed to maintain the scholarship, or else if the student failed in both of the semesters of the foundation year, then his/her scholarship would be retained. However, that will not affect your admission, but then you have to pay all of your expenses and fees too.
   • Non-competitive scholarships: (GCC Qatari certificate scholarships and children of Qatar University employees scholarship): After completing the foundation year, you are still eligible for these scholarships, even if you want to transfer to any other university.
   • International student scholarships: As long as Qatar university is sponsoring the student, if failed in semesters, then the scholarship would be canceled and the student would be immediately sent back to his/her hometown.

Undergraduate Level

Following are the terms and conditions which are applied even after you have completed your foundation year:

1. Have to meet the conditions of the scholarship to be eligible for further studies.
2. The student has to be registered and qualify for 12 credits hour each semester.
3. Especially students who have received any of the Scholarships likewise, Admission Scholarship for International Students, H.H. the Emir of Qatar’s scholarship for Academic Excellence, Outstanding Performance scholarship, and GCC Embassies scholarship, have to maintain a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.
4. The Students who are holding previous year’s scholarships, such as the Qatar University scholarship, H.H. the Emir of Qatar’s scholarship for Academic Excellence, and Outstanding Performance scholarship have to:

1. • In the Spring 2021 term, The students have minimum a GPA of 2.50 out of 4.
   • The Students who got admission in Fall 2021 and after, have to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.

1. The student has to maintain a minimum GPA of 2.50 out of 4 for a talent scholarship, Moreover, he/she has to continuously show his/her talent and keep the practice up.
2. The student’s scholarship would be canceled for the specific term in which he/she doesn’t receive the benefits of the scholarship, a student will get an email regarding this.

Graduate Level

The following conditions must be met first:

1. Have to meet the conditions of the scholarship to be eligible for further studies.
2. The student has to be registered and qualify for 09 credits hour each semester.
3. The student has to maintain a GPA of 3.50 out of 4.
4. The student’s scholarship would be canceled for the specific term in which he/she doesn’t receive the benefits of the scholarship, a student will get an email regarding this.
5. The student has to publish a minimum of one research paper, after the completion of the first academic year of the scholarship.
6. You will receive a scholarship warning if you do not meet any of the conditions mentioned above.
7. The student’s scholarship would be canceled for the specific term in which he/she doesn’t receive the benefits of the scholarship, a student will get an email regarding this.
